Meet Dr. Christian J. Luzar D.M.D.


Background

Christian J. Luzar is a dental specialist in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics. He is an expert in the areas of total mouth rehabilitation through implants, crowns, bridges, partials and dentures and in prosthodontics. He is also a specialist associated with the dental management of head and neck oncology (cancer), advanced cranial trauma and congenital or acquired deformities of the head and neck.

The training of a Maxillofacial Prosthodontist is extremely rigorous. Dr. Luzar attended four years of college and an additional four years of dental school to obtain his doctoral degree. Dr. Luzar then completed three years of a hospital-based residency and an additional one year Fellowship to attain his specialty status.

Dr. Luzar has gained experience and perfected his medical skills by attending and achieving the following:

The Veteran's Affairs (V.A.) Medical Center at Long Beach, California

Responsibilities included:

  • Staff Maxillofacial Prosthodontist
  • Director of Dental Care for the Head and Neck Oncology team
  • Clinical and Didactic Instructor for residents
  • Clinical Care Director for specialty patients

The University of Chicago Medical Center, Chicago Illinois

One year fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics.

i.Dental management and reconstruction of head/neck oncology and advanced trauma/deformity patients.
ii.Oral and cranial implant reconstruction.
iii.Oral and facial maxillofacial prosthodontics
iv.TMD/ facial pain
v.Fixed and removable prosthodontics

Two year residency in combined prosthodontics
